Madonna is a singer, songwriter, fashion desinger, producer and an amazing pop star with an estimated net worth of $525 million. She sold over 225 copies worldwide and is probably the most successful female music artist to date.

Madonna was born in Bay City, Michigan. Madonna moved to New York in 1977 to pursue a music and dance career. While being in New York, she began a career as a professional singer and recorded her first hit album ‘Like a Virgin’ in 1984. She had a second hit album ‘True Blue’ in 1986. These two albums made her a superstar. the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) ranked her as best selling female rock artist of the 20th century. She is actually in the Guinness Book of Records labeled as most successful female artist of all time.

In 2011, W.E. premiered at the 2011 Venice Film Festival and received mixed reviews. In June 2011, Madonna began recording her twelfth studio album. Madonna announced that it is set to release before the spring in 2012 and a new single will be released in February 2012. This single will feature Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. who both appear in the music video.

Madonna signed to Universal Records who became the main promoter for the album. Madonna will perform at the Super Bowl in February 2012. It was also announced that she would start a second fashion brand named ‘Truth or Dare by Madonna’. It will involve footwear, handbags, accessories and fragrance.
