Nicki Minaj is a rapper, R&B artist, singer and songwriter with an estimated net worth of $9 million. She was born in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago and moved to New York with her mother at the age of five. Nicki Minaj is well known for collaborating with other big names and providing guest raps on popular singles. Nicki Minaj was discovered by Lil Wayne, and signed a deal with his label Young Money Entertainment.

The first track Nicki Minaj released was ‘Playtime is Over’ in 2007, in the same year she released her first mixtape. After this she released a couple of more mixtapes including ‘Sucka Free’ in 2008. She won the female artist of the year award at the Underground Music Awards in late 2008. In the year 2009 Nicki Minaj appeard in XXL magazine and released her third official mixtape. Nicki Minaj’s debut album for Young Money Entertainment was ‘Pink Friday’ which was released in 2010.

Nicki Minaj was influenced by the thymes of Missy Elliot along with the sexually charged attitudes of Lil Kim and Foxy Bron. Nicki Minaj was originally discoverd thanks to her MySpace page. She is going to release a new album called ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ which is going to be released on Valentine’s Day 2012.
