Eminem, a multi platinum selling rapper with an estimated net worth of $112.5 million. Eminem had a difficult youth. He moved around Missouri with his single mome before settling in Warren, Michigan where he became interested in Hip Hop after obtaining Licensed to Ill by the Beastie Boys.

He participated in freestyle rap battles and created his own amateur performances throuhout his younger years. Eminem gained recognition and respect from the local Hip Hop scene with his performances. He dropped out of school at the age of 17 and joined Bassmin Productions, which later was renamed to Soul Intent. He recorded tracks with Mashin’ Duck Records and FBT Productions. He did this while being a cook and dishwasher for a minimum wage. His first album ‘Infinite’ was released under Web Entertainment in 1996.

After his first album ‘Infinite’, he brought out ‘The Slim Shady EP’ which got the attention of Dr. Dre. He executive-produced the major-label release of ‘The Slim Shady LP’. This album was an instant success. Eminem got a grammy for this for Best Rap Album. Later in 2000 and 2002 he released ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’ and ‘The Eminem Show’. The Marshall Mathers LP has become the fastest selling Hip Hop album in history. Eminem has achieved twelve #1 singles worldwide, got an Academy Award for Best Original Song, eight number one albums on Billboard Top 200 and was named Artist of the Decade end 2009.

Eminem is still going strong and his popularity seems endless.
